ICGC Love Temple Equipment Rental

This Initiative is a community-driven service aimed at offering members of the ICGC Love Temple church temporary access to laptops when they need them. This initiative recognizes the importance of technology in today’s world and seeks to bridge the digital divide by ensuring that members, mainly students, have the means to engage in online activities, whether for work, education, or personal development.

 
Laptop usage policy:
  • Careful Handling: Treat the laptop with care. Avoid drops, spills, and exposure to extreme temperatures.
  • Software Installation: Only install software that is necessary for your work. Unauthorized software installations are prohibited.
  • Data Privacy: Do not access or store sensitive or illegal content. Remember to back up your data regularly as the laptop might be wiped upon return.
  • Internet Usage: Use the internet responsibly. Avoid accessing harmful or illegal websites.
  • Security: Use the provided security measures like antivirus software. Do not disable or alter security settings without permission.
Maintenance Policy & Others: *
  • Regular Checks: Laptops will be inspected for physical damage before and after each rental period.
  • Cleaning: Clean the laptop with a soft, dry cloth. Use only approved cleaning solutions for the screen and keyboard.
  • Battery Care: Keep the battery charged. If the laptop is not in use for an extended period, store it with a charge between 20-80%.
  • Updates: Ensure all software and operating system updates are installed. This will be managed by our team before and after rentals.
  • Repairs: Report any malfunction or damage immediately. Do not attempt repairs yourself. All repairs will be conducted by authorized technicians.
  • Return Condition: Return the laptop in the same condition it was rented, minus normal wear and tear.
Additional Notes:
  • Rental Period: The maximum rental duration is 4 months. Late returns may incur additional charges.
  • Liability: Users are liable for any damage or loss of the laptop during the rental period, especially if such damage or loss results from negligence.
  • Warranty: Inform users about any warranty limitations or specifics regarding rented equipment.
