A Message from the Shepherd
July is SPIRITUAL EMPHASIS MONTH in ICGC. It is a month of PRAYER AND FASTING. Let’s continue to journey together in faith as we enter week two (Day 4 to Day 10) of our thirty (30) days prayer and fasting.
Isaiah 40:28-31 Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. 29 He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. 30 Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. 31 But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
Our focus for week two is captured by the theme “Drawing Deeper”. I want you to yield to the Holy Spirit and ask Him to help you to launch into deeper waters. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you to draw closer and deeper in your walk with God. Pray for the grace to move from shallow waters into deeper levels of faith in God, prayer and bible study. Ask God to open your heart and give you an intense desire to continue to grow and become the person He has ordained you to be. Pray for the grace to become an example in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, and in purity.
