A Message from the Shepherd
Isaiah 40:28-31 Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. 29 He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. 30 Even youths will become weak and tired, and young men will fall in exhaustion. 31 But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.
July is SPIRITUAL EMPHASIS MONTH in ICGC. It is a month of PRAYER AND FASTING. Let’s continue to journey together in faith as we enter week three (Day 11 to Day 17) of our thirty (30) days prayer and fasting.
Our focus for week three is captured by the theme “Positioning for Greater Influence”. What kind of influence do you want to have in your circle, in your community, and in the world? What will it take to take your influence to the next level? Ask God to help you to learn how to contend for your faith in order to maintain your power of influence as a believer. Pray for the grace to greatly influence the people God has brought into your life with His power and love. Ask God to help you to abide in His word. Pray for the grace to take fresh territories. Ask God to help you to give more of yourself away during the second half of this year and beyond. Generosity expands your influence. The more generous you become, the more influential you will be. Pray that you will yield to the influence of the Holy Spirit in order to continue to share freely and give generously to those in need.
