SPIRITUAL EMPHASIS MONTH – Week 3 (July 13th – 19th, 2015)

I trust that your waiting on the Lord is coming along well. Our focus for week three is captured by the theme “Grace to Listen and Follow God’s Leading” and our key scripture is John 10:27 “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me”.
How well do you listen to God and follow?
In life, there will be many voices that will try to speak to you. If you do not seek God’s direction and leading, those voices will manipulate you and eventually destroy your life. It is critical for you as a believer to listen to God’s voice and follow His leading wholeheartedly. To listen means to pay attention to someone or something in order to hear what is being said. As we wait on the Lord in prayer and fasting this week, ask Him for the grace to listen and follow His leading. Listening to God includes listening to the people He has brought into our lives. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you to distinguish God’s voice from all other voices. Ask God to help you to follow His leading no matter the cost.

It is amazing how much the Lord communicates when we wait and listen to His still small voice.
No wonder He succinctly puts it this way “No eye has seen nor ear heard that which the Lord has prepared for those who love Him”
“Be still and know that I an the Lord”
I know that, surely “He who has began a good work in me will bring it to a perfect end!”
We are blessed because of Jesus!
